Buster + Punch
Buster & Punch was founded in London in 2013 by architect and industrial designer Massimo Buster Minale. The journey began in a garage in East London, where he made motorcycles, whose materials and design became the inspiration for what Buster & Punch is today.
During his time as an architect, Massimo Buster Minale noticed that something was missing in the interior design market. Stylish and appealing wall sockets and lamp knobs that match the quality and design of home interiors and beautifully crafted furniture. This was to be the start of an idea to launch a brand that delivered out-of-the-ordinary electronics and home furnishings, with distinguished materials and a distinctive design.
Everyday objects become key interior design features
The spotlight was put on the functional details of the home. Previously unimportant and practical items, such as lamps, handles and lamp knobs, were given a new lease of life and become key elements of the home interior. One example is Buster & Punch’s popular Buster Bulb, from their collection of the world’s first designer LED bulbs. The bulb becomes a design feature in its own right, adding a fun and industrial feel to the home.
Today, Buster & Punch has a wide range of products, with everything from fittings to motorbikes, lighting, and children’s furniture. Massimo Buster Minale’s own passion for music and metalwork informs Buster & Punch’s identity, design idiom and offering. Based in the hip Shoreditch area of London, London’s sub-culture, music and fashion became a key inspiration for the brand. Buster & Punch have established unique collaboration deals with musicians, graffiti artists, fashion designers, and motorcycle manufacturers to deliver unrivalled, unique and stylish products. For example, the sophisticated Rockstar and Popstar, which are sure to attract attention with their unique and robust design.
Material selection is central to Buster & Punch’s product development. They want to create distinguished craftsmanship using robust metals and woods of the highest quality. The result is attractive products with finishes in black, steel, brass, and burnished bronze that feel luxurious and solid to hold in your hand. The motorcycle-inspired design with smooth surfaces on Buster & Punch fittings makes the products easy to grip, and stylish.
