Mendori table lamp was designed by Issey Miyake and Reality Lab for Italian Artemide in 2012. The table lamp has a unique design and despite being made of PET, methacrylate, aluminum and steel, it can be easily folded and stored flat if necessary. The shape of the lamp has been constructed with 3D techniques that make light and shadows harmoniously switch between each other. Through the structure of the recycled material together with the surface treatment, Mendori has no problem standing without internal frames and that is also why it can be practically folded.

The lamp is part of the IN-EI project that was born when Artemide collaborated with Reality Lab. IN-EI means shadow in Japanese and the project is based on the intersection between creativity and mathematics.
