The Atelier Stool bar stool is the newest addition to the Atelier collection, which also includes a chair designed by TAF Studio. During the major renovation process of the National Museum in Stockholm, TAF Studio was commissioned to create a flexible chair for the newly renovated restaurant, which resulted in the creation of the Atelier Chair. Since the reopening on October 13, 2018, visitors can view the chair in both the museum's restaurant and auditorium.


The design agency TAF Studio, which is based in Stockholm, was run from the start by Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom. The agency's ambition is to create design that is contextually aware and that takes into account material selection and production methods. The agency, which was established in 2002, has won international recognition and their work is represented in places such as MoMA and the Danish Design Museum in Copenhagen and now also in the National Museum in Stockholm.
