The Farooo floor lamp by Moooi was designed by Marcel Wanders in 2012. Farooo follows Wanders' characteristic design style, combining a classic design statement with an interesting, modern twist. The turned, raised fiberglass base makes the floor lamp as much a sculptural as a functional detail for the home interior. The shade is made of viscose/PVC. The power cord has a built-in dimmer function and can be discreetly routed from four different heights through the base of the lamp. Farooo is available in three sizes and two colors, black or white. The floor lamp emits a warm, soft glow that is ideal for ambient lighting.
Wanders found inspiration for Farooo from the shape and strong light of the lighthouse, which has guided ships on the seas throughout history. The name Farooo also comes from the Italian word for lighthousefaro.
