Paravent Ambassade was designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1969 for the Italian brand Cassina. The screen wall is made of American walnut. It is an original and detailed craft made up of 313 rectangular blocks held together by aluminum rods. Perriand was commissioned to create the wall for a Japanese ambassador and had an almost non-existent budget, so she made use of leftover wood from the production of one of her other works. The result was an elegant artistic puzzle, perfect as a room divider or as a piece of art standing against a wall. The screen wall is flexible and can therefore be adjusted as desired.
