Lampadina is a table lamp designed in 1972 by Achille Castiglioni for Italian Flos. The lamp comes in several different colors with a contrasting base in silver which is made of aluminium. The bulb itself is produced in partially sandblasted glass, for a softer lighting. The cord can be rolled under the foot, like an older version of a roll of film.
The inspiration behind Lampadina lies in the light bulb, which is what the name also translates to. Castiglioni wanted to reconstruct the classic light bulb and the result was this stylish and playful design. Lampadina has a simple design language that fits perfectly in all possible environments.
