The original 839 TL3 table was designed in 1953 by the Italian designer and architect Franco Albini and was first put into production by Cassina in 2013. Thanks to the versatility of the 839 TL3, it can be used in many ways: as a dining table, a desk or as a serving table. Its classic and attractive style makes it suitable for many different environments. The table is available with an American walnut base or in natural or black stained ash. The table top comes in transparent glass and has a rectangular shape. The table legs are fitted with floor protectors.
As one of the main representatives of Italian functionalism, Albini's design is characterized by clean, straight lines without any elaborate details. This dining table is a typical example of his design with its well-defined shapes.
