Rainbow Chair is a unique dining chair from Italian Cappellini, created by French Patrick Norguet in 2000. This post-industrial chair is the result of a high level of innovation combined with craftsmanship to form something of a work of art, guaranteed not to go unnoticed in any room. The Rainbow Chair and its high-tech construction immediately caught the interest of Guilio Cappellini in 1999 at the Paris Furniture Show and has been produced for Cappellini ever since.
The Rainbow Chair is made by machine-cutting thin pieces of colored methacrylate, which are then glued together by hand to be sanded by machine. The backrest and seat are sanded again by craftsmen and applied to the base. The entire chair is made of methacrylate. The chair is also part of the permanent exhibition at MoMa in New York, making it a unique, timeless, and desirable chair.
