The Standard SP is a chair from Vitra, designed by Jean Prouvé in 1950. The "SP" stands for Siège en Plastique and is an updated version of the original Standard chair. The dining chair is made of durable ASA plastic with a sturdy steel base. Prouvé realized that the back legs carry the most load and therefore designed the chair with stronger back legs and narrower front legs. It is a timeless piece of furniture that fits perfectly in different types of interiors.
