The Knotted Chair is a small chair created by Marcel Wanders for Italian Cappellini in 1996. The chair is a combination of handmade design with high-tech industrial processes. It is made of a rope of aramid and carbon fiber that is tied to its shape. The ropes are soaked in epoxy resin before being placed in a frame to dry and achieve their final shape. The result is a hand-knotted macramé-inspired chair with incredible strength and durability.

With its height of 69 cm and a diameter of 64 cm, the chair is a small and neat model that fills the room as a strong character with its unique design made of rope. The chair can be used in the living room or bedroom as well as a modern addition to the home. The knotted chair is considered a design classic and is included in the MoMA New York permanent collection. The Knotted Chair is a certified original design bearing the Cappellini logo.
