Saula Marina is a sofa designed by Javier Mariscal in 1995 for the Italian brand Moroso. Mariscal's visual heritage is drawn from the world of comic books, from which he readily admits he draws his inspiration. The pieces in the collection are like something out of an old comic book, with a playful design that hints at irony bordering on sarcasm, while the sofa has a contemporary and modern look. Mariscal uses overlapping, round and amorous shapes that combine to create a sofa that is often the focal point of a room.
