MR Armchair by Knoll is a chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, 1927. Constructed in chromed steel tubes, the chair represents some of Mies van der Rohe's earliest steel design furniture. The steel tubes were inspired by Bauhaus master Marcel Breuer, while the shape is considered a modern variation of 19th-century iron rocking chairs. The hand-woven rattan seat is lacquered for durability. The chair is marked with the Knoll logo and the designer's signature.
