The highly successful Stockholm-based architectural duo Tham & Videgård are behind the sophisticated Alma wall sconce, named after a co-working space on Nybrogatan in Stockholm of the same name. This was the starting point for the lamp, which is now produced by Helsingborg-based Wästberg. Alma w171 has a diameter of 69 cm and has a circular shape with its significant wave-like pattern, where Tham & Videgård took inspiration from the sine wave. This creates an interesting shading, where the light source is reflected against the waves.
Alma w171 is available in matte white or matte gray and is also available as a ceiling lamp and pendant lamp. It is made of aluminum and comes with a light source with an E27 base, a mounting plate and a cable with a dimmer. Whichever room you choose to place the wall light in, it will add a subtle sense of softness, with the warm white light reflecting off the wave-shaped shade.
