Knitterling is a ceiling lamp designed in 1978 by Ingo Maurer. The lampshade is handmade of Japanese paper in Munich; the paper is slightly wrinkled which is a conscious design detail. The rest of the lamp is made of metal and a black plastic cover. Because of its paper shade, the crinkle is not suitable for rooms with high humidity. The lamp, like many of Ingo Maurer's lamps, is also a work of art in its own right and is ideal for use in living rooms, bedrooms, and offices.
Knitterling is available in two lengths of cable: 200 or 450 cm.
