87.1 is a pendant light from Bocci designed by Omer Arbel in 2017. The lamp has a pendant with an adjustable height up to 300 cm. The pendant is approximately 30-50 cm in height and 11,5-24 cm in width and the production is done by hand making each piece is unique in proportion, size, and shape. A malleable mass of glass is stretched and folded over itself several times before cooling down. Air trapped inside the glass gives the piece an optical quality resembling marbles, and at one end of the loop is a lightbulbbulb that emits a soft, pleasant light. The 87.1 is suspended by a flexible metal cable from a brushed nickel ceiling mount.
