The Eames RE Plastic Side Chair - LSR is designed by designers Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra. This dining chair was a favorite of the design duo and they used the low chair throughout the Eames House, their legendary home in Pacific Palisades. It is made with a recycled plastic shell, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Since 2024, the shells of all Eames Plastic Chairs are made from one hundred percent recycled plastic. The recycled plastic originates from the collection of plastic packaging from German households, in the "Yellow Bag" collection program, and is of premium quality. Using recycled raw material instead of petroleum-based primary plastic means that climate-damaging emissions are significantly reduced, just like primary energy consumption. The shell is of course recyclable at the end of its product life.
