Pascal is a floor lamp from Oluce, designed by the Italian master Vico Magistretti in 1983. Magistretti, who is also behind design classics such as Sonora and Atollo, has combined geometric shapes in this lamp to create functional and symbolic compositions. The use of geometric shapes is characteristic of the Italian designer. Pascal consists of two upside-down cones on top of a cylindrical frame. The lamp is made of lacquered aluminum and has a bronze finish. Thanks to its modern shape, the floor lamp provides an indirect and reflected light that helps to create a cozy atmosphere in the room. In total, the lamp has three light sources, two in the lower cone and one in the upper cone.
Although Pascal can essentially be described as an uplighter, the upper cone helps to reflect some of the light downwards. With Pascal you get a lamp that is both decorative and functional, a creation of one of the most recognized Italian designers of the last century.
