Yanzi 1 is a ceiling lamp designed by Neri&Hu for Artemide in 2017. The lamp reflects constant research and the work of dynamic interactions of experience, details and design language instead of following more stereotypical formulas. Yanzi 1 is a mix of tradition and innovation with graphic elements. The structure in black lacquered steel is well balanced like branches and twigs which provide relief for the subtle bird figures in various designs. The figures, which resemble swallows, have a body in brushed brass and a white glass ball as a head, which houses the integrated light source. Yanzi 1 measures 156.4 cm in length, 104.3 cm in height and 31 cm in depth.
