Touch Console is from the Touch Collection, designed by Studioilse for Zanat, a Bosnian brand with a focus on wood craftsmanship and traditional carvings. For Touch Console, Studioilse has combined rustic woodwork with a modern elegance. The table consists of a rectangular top on a simple base with an x-shaped profile. Handcrafted in solid wood, it is available in a variety of wood types and finishes. The tabletop has a textured surface that is carved by hand and gives Touch its characterful expression. The Touch console table is a multi-functional table, ideal as an extra relief surface in a hallway or living room or as a desk in a small home office.
The Touch Collection is created with a special technique where the surface of the wood is carved freehand, giving it a rough texture, designed to appeal to the impulse to want to touch the furniture. The design is intended to be an analogous way of engaging with the environment in our increasingly digital age. Because of the craftsmanship, each Touch Collection piece will be one-of-a-kind.
