The Standard SP is an elegant chair designed by Jean Prouvé for Vitra in 1950. "SP" stands for Siège en Plastique and marks an update of the classic Standard chair. The chair is made of durable ASA plastic and has a robust steel base, which provides both stability and long-term durability. Prouvé designed the chair with the understanding that the greatest load is on the back legs, resulting in stronger back legs and slimmer front legs.
