Akari UF4-L8 is a screen lamp from Vitra designed by the Japanese-American architect and designer Isamu Noguchi in 1951 as part of the Akari lamp series. The Akari lamp series consists of lamps hand-made by Japanese craftsmen in shoji paper, paper made from the bark of mulberry trees. Akari UF4-L8 is designed in white shoji paper and is held up by three steel legs that are painted black. All light sculptures in the Akari series are marked with a logo representing the sun and the moon, which confirms the authenticity of each product.
