Akari 21A belongs to a series of lamps designed in 1951 by the Japanese-American sculptor, architect and designer Isamu Noguchi. The pendant lamp is handmade in shoji paper, which is made from bark from mulberry trees. The shoji paper is held up by a structure of steel wire.
The light series Akari was created by Noguchi with inspiration taken from traditional Japanese design. Within the same series, there are also table and floor lamps. The material provides a soft and atmospheric lighting and fits well together with other rounded models in the Akari series.
The ceiling lamp does not have a built-in dimmer, but can be dimmed provided that a dimmable light source is used and that you have a dimmer in the room.

A design classic that fits in any room and is also easy to pack as it can be compressed! In addition to this, it increases in value over time, so if you keep them for 20 years, you can sell them for significantly more than what you bought them for here!
