Vaarnii is a Finnish furniture brand launched in 2021 with the aim of creating eye-catching and simple products that will last for generations. The name Vaarnii comes from the merging of the two Finnish words Vaarna and Saarni. Vaarna means drop and Saarni means ashtray, and the combination of these words symbolizes how Vaarnii combines the strength of the soulful creative process with the materials used in it.

Vaarnii has a large network of talented individuals around the world with whom they collaborate. Vaarnii’s ambition is to create pieces of furniture that belong to a new Finnish furniture tradition, using all the creative skills that their partners possess.

A material in focus for each collection

Vaarnii takes inspiration from their home country, Finland, not only in their name but also in their design. First of all, they take inspiration from the Finnish way of life - straightforward communication is generally the rule. Vaarnii takes this into account and focuses on making pieces that are bold, simple and easy.

Each of Vaarnii’s collections is made with a natural material. Each material is selected based on its beauty and locality rather than on what is trendy at the moment. In fact, all the materials Vaarnii uses in their collections are materials that are widely available in Finland which at the same time are often neglected.
