Ludlow calf leather is a classic that is reminiscent of the soft feel of deerskin, but is more robust over time, allowing it to retain its soft and supple character. After embossing the leather to give it a natural grainy effect, artisans then use a special "tumbling" treatment to bring out the natural graininess and soften the fibers to ensure a luxuriously supple texture. The final finish is semi-matte to give a rich and powdery look.
