The Monocle Book of Photography is a collection of the best photo assignments from the Monocle archives, published to celebrate the magazine's fifteenth anniversary.
The first edition of the Monocle magazine was published in 2007 and was then available for purchase in kiosks around the world. The cover of the first issue was portrayed by a Japanese Armed Forces helicopter pilot and was part of a 10-day reporting assignment for the photographer and writer. Since then, Monocle has continued its quest to document the world through unique photographs, from embassies and residences to world leaders and cultural stars with original photographs.
The book is a linen-bound edition with glossy paper and printing of the highest quality. The Monocle Book of Photography also contains supporting text about the photo assignments and the story behind them, including first-hand accounts from the photographers who were involved.
