Platform Tray from Muuto is a tray that Sam Hecht & Kim Colin designed in 2017. The tray is made of molded ABS plastic that comes in two different colors, dark red or gray, and the insert is made of PU lacquered and laminated oak veneer. The tray is easy to keep clean and can be cleaned in the dishwasher without the insert. The wooden veneer insert is cleaned with a damp cloth and then wiped with a dry cloth.
The Scandinavian design language, in combination with the choice of materials, creates a functional dynamic for the tray, which can be used as a completely normal tray to move things from one room to another or to organize everyday objects on a platform. The tray's diameter of 30 centimeters also creates space to create a decorative constellation with room for smaller flower vases and candles and which can easily be moved between the dining table and coffee table, or between the kitchen island and the bathroom.
