Floatation is a ceiling lamp designed in 1980 by German brand Ingo Maurer. The lamp is made of white paper from Japan, metal and depicts three upward facing shades that emit a light and harmonious light. The Japanese paper is slightly wrinkled, which is a deliberate design choice. The lamp is named Floatation because the delicate cables that hold the lamp up are barely visible and make the screens appear to float in the air.
The height of the lamp can be adjusted and it can be placed over the dining table, in the living room or in the bedroom. Floatation is available in three sizes.
