The Pao Glass Pendant 350 pendant lamp is part of the Pao series from HAY and was designed by designer Naoto Fukasawa. The lamp is made of hand-blown opal glass that provides a beautiful glow. The diffuser is made of injection-molded opalescent acrylic (PMMA), which means that the Pao Glass Pendant 350 has no visible features or fittings on the surface. This gives it a seamless, clean aesthetic. The lamp has a 4-meter-long braided fabric cable with silicone insulation.

The Pao series is characterized by Fukasawa's "super normal" aesthetic of beautiful minimalism, where everyday objects are given a place in the world of design. The inspiration for the Pao Glass Pendant 350 was taken from a trip to Mongolia, where traditional nomadic tents called "Yurt" or in Japanese "Pao" illuminated the surroundings at night. Fukasawa was delighted by the glowing shape that brought to mind the comfort, warmth and security of a home. The Pao Glass Pendant 350 creates a warm, directed light. The lamp is also available in a steel model, the Pao Steel Pendant, in several different colors and sizes to choose from.
