Stemlite - Floor lamp comes from the Danish brand Gubi and was designed by Bill Curry in 1962. The lamp has a tulip-like base made of cast metal, as well as a globe on top made of mouth-blown glass. The lamp has a cylindrical on/off button. Stemlite - Floor lamp is part of the Stemlite collection, which also consists of two table lamps and a pendant lamp. All with the same authentic as well as modern look. The different lamps in the collection are suitable for combining with each other and can be used in both commercial and residential environments.
Stemlite - Floor lamp has an organic and subtle shape, a good complement to both modern and traditional surfaces. Originally used by street lighting companies in Los Angeles, the frosted glass globe emits a soft, atmospheric glow. Perfect diffused, ambient light to add to other lighting. Stemlite was Bill Curry's design debut and was named "The Most Influential Lamp of the Year" by Industrial Design Magazine in 1965. The lamp was used in the original series of Star Trek, and continued to be produced until 1977. After almost half a century, Gubi has now relaunched Stemlite.
