Georg Jensen founded the Georg Gensen brand in the early 1900s, which quickly became renowned for its superb craftsmanship and early aesthetic design. Georg Jensen offers a wide range of elegant candlesticks, plates, silverware, kitchen accessories and home furnishings. All design products are characterised by unique design, exclusive quality and a clear Nordic minimalism.

Elegant and luxurious interior design

Georg Jensen has an early interest in metalsmithing and chooses to move to Copenhagen and work as an apprentice at a goldsmithäs. In 1895, he began studying sculpture at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts and later worked at a porcelain factory before starting his own business in 1904.

For over a hundred years, the various design collaborations have been intertwined. Since its inception, Georg Jensen has collaborated with world-leading designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Helle Damkjær, Sigvard Bernadotte, Henning & Nina Koppel, Jørgen Møller and Verner Panton. All designers have contributed with their expertise and creativity to an elegant range of designs that exude timelessness and quality craftsmanship. Helle Damkjærs has won awards for her Bloom collection, among others. The bowl from the same series can be seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

In Georg Jensen's range you will find classics such as the beautiful Bernadotte Thermos, based on Sigvard Bernadotte's design from 1938, the Moneyphant elephant slipper, designed in 2010 by Danish architect Jørgen Møller. What these products have in common is that they combine function and innovative design.The brand is part of the Royal Scandinavian Group, after the porcelain factory Royal Copenhagen took over the company in the 1970s.

Today, Georg Jensen's range can be found in over 100 stores in 12 countries and the company continues to serve its customers with elegant design that combines function with beauty that exudes Nordic minimalism - something that has become loved the world over.
