Indulgence Champagne Saber was designed in 2013 by Helle Damkjær for Georg Jensen. The champagne saber has a minimalist and modern design in polished stainless steel.
To use the champagne saber, hold the champagne bottle at a 20 degree angle and let the back of the saber slide along the bottle towards the neck of the bottle. When the blade reaches the edge, its force cuts the glass and separates the neck and cork from the rest of the bottle. The blade is not sharp, it is the force of the saber that opens the bottle. The experienced sommelier can open a bottle without wasting champagne. However, we advise you to pour a small amount afterwards to wash away any glass residue from the bottle neck. The first glass should be checked extra carefully. Keep the champagne saber and cut bottles out of the reach of children and animals, handle bottles and leftover glass with care and do not drink from the bottle.
