Arne Jacobsen designed the Dot 3170 stool in 1954 and is part of the unique Objects series from Fritz Hansen. The idea for the stool came about when the famous designer designed the classic Ant chair. The stylish and timeless stool works well on its own, as well as complementing the related classics in the Series 7 series. The seat is made of genuine leather, which is Fritz Hansen's most exclusive quality. The leather is upholstered from leftover material from the production of the iconic Egg and Swan furniture. The leather is matched with a four-legged base but unlike the original version, the premium leather stool has a black lacquered base. The base also helps the stool to stack on high, making it perfect for use in the kitchen or as an addition to chairs in a living room.
The Objects series, of which Dot 3170 is a part, is made from solid materials that reflect Fritz Hansen's proud heritage of quality and refined craftsmanship. The collection consists of timeless and beautiful products designed by leading architects and designers from all over the world, both Danish and international. The collection is constantly growing and reflects Fritz Hansen's passion for good and well-planned design, high quality, and long tradition of craftsmanship.
