Fritz Hansen's bestseller Sjuan, or Series 7, was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and comes here as a desk chair. The 3117 Sjuan follows the same design as the original, 3107, but here the legs have been replaced by a chrome-plated, height-adjustable base on castors.
The Seven is based on the same innovative manufacturing process as Jacobsen's classic Myran chair. The seat and backrest are created in one piece, consisting of nine layers of veneer layered with two layers of Indian cotton and pressed into shape over steam. This has given the chair its thin and elegant shell; the backrest can also be reclined, adding to the high level of comfort. In this model of the 3117 Seven, the shell is fully encased, providing an extra soft and comfortable seat. A wide range of fabrics and leathers are available.
The Seven has become Fritz Hansen's best-selling chair of all time and has been launched in a number of different versions. Nordiska Galleriet was the first retailer of Sjuan in Sweden and the chair is still our best-selling piece of furniture today. The popularity of Sjuan is a testament to its iconic status, bringing together form, function and modern design history to make it both a classic and a firm favourite with us.

Fully meets my expectations. Stylish, stylish and comfortable to sit on. Equipped with a practical function with a seat that can be raised and lowered, which enables ergonomic sitting in relation to desk height.
