Faye Toogood 1977 

Faye Toogood, born in 1977, is a British designer who has quickly established herself as one of the most influential voices in contemporary design. She began her career as an editor and stylist at The World of Interiors before founding her own studio in 2008. Her works span multiple disciplines, from furniture and sculpture to fashion and interiors, characterized by a bold and experimental design language. 

Toogood for Vaarnii 

Toogood’s work is defined by timelessness and the ability to push the boundaries of what furniture design can be. An example is her outdoor chair Peace Outdoor Lounge Chair, created in collaboration with the Finnish brand Vaarnii. Made from heat-treated pine, this chair is designed to age beautifully over time – a chair that, according to Toogood, will look "more beautiful in ten years than it does today". Her furniture is not just about aesthetics but about creating a space for rest and reflection, making her designs both practical and emotionally resonant. 

From Fashion to Furniture 

Among Faye Toogood’s most popular furniture designs is the Puffy Lounge Chair, which she designed for the Swedish brand Hem.
