The PostKrisi 40 wall lamp is part of the PostKrisi series, designed in 2004 by Enzo Catellani for his Catellani Smith brand. The lamp is designed in a hemisphere made of fiberglass and has raw edges. The material together with the edges allows the light and shadows to be diffused effectively against the wall. The structure of the painted fiberglass combined with the shadows it gives off make the PostKrisi 40 wall lamp a work of art. PostKrisi is a collection of lamps that opens a new chapter in Catellani's production. For the first time he introduced color to his collection, hand painted with pure primary colors they give another side to the lamps. The shape that has always been an important element of Catellani's design, capturing the light and creating shadows, is here enhanced with shades made of fiberglass with raw, fringed edges, giving further life to the play of shadows that transform into drawings of light.
