720 Lady is an iconic chair created by Marco Zanuso for Italian Cassina in 1951. The chair has an internal seat and backrest frame in stainless steel and plywood. The upholstery consists of polyethylene foam and polyester wadding. The chair is available in several fabric and leather finishes. The undercarriage is made of steel and is available in three different finishes. 720 Lady is the result of technological innovation in furniture manufacturing. Zanuso used a manufacturing method in which each part of the piece was created separately before being assembled. To contribute to greater seating comfort, the seat, backrest, and sides have different densities to counteract the pressure from the body on the base seat. During the ninth Milan Triennale in 1951, Zanuso won gold for his design of the 720 Lady.
