Hans J. Wegner designed the CH88 chair in 1955 for Carl Hansen Søn but by the 100th anniversary of the collaboration with Wegner it had only been a prototype desk. Now the chair is produced in several versions and has become a modern favorite. The seat is made of laminated wood, the back of solid wood in oak with a black powder-coated frame. CH88T is also available with a stainless steel base.
CH88 is as simple, stylish, and flexible as most of Wegner's work for Carl Hansen. Whether you need chairs around the dining table, relief in the hallway or at your desk, CH88 is a timeless, tasteful choice. The chair also comes with a bright seat, known as CH88P.
