Cappellini chairs

The family-owned company Cappellini was founded in 1946 in Milan, Italy by Enrico Cappellini. Cappellini is then a small company with no interest in exclusive design but with furniture production and craftsmanship as a specialty. In 1979, Enrico Cappellini's son Giulio Cappellini takes over the company and directs it into what will soon be one of the world's biggest trendsetters in designer furniture.

Cappellini constantly works with well-known international designers and the range includes several collections of Italian design that include everything from sofas and shelves to sinks and lamps.

In 2005, Cappellini was acquired by the Italian furniture company Poltrona Frau, which produces interiors for Maserati, Ferrari, Alfa Romei, Lancia and Porsche. The Poltrona Frau Group includes the company in a combination with Cassina.

Today, Cappellini's designs are exhibited in places all over the world, including the Victoria & Albert in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Cappellini is headquartered in Milan, Italy with showrooms and retailers in Los Angeles, Paris, Brussels, New York, Rome, London, Dubai, Florence and many more.
