84.1 is a pendant light from Bocci designed by Omer Arbel in 2017. The lamp has a pendant with an adjustable height up to 300 cm. The pendulum is approximately 12 cm in diameter and is made by hand, making each piece is unique in proportion, size, and shape. White glass is encased in a thin copper ring which is then dipped in a warm clear glass. By carefully blowing air into the mold, the white glass is forced through the net, creating a delicate pillow shape in the outer layer. The copper can sometimes be folded and creased, and the waviness of the outer glass can be rectified, it is part of the craftsmanship. 84.1 is held by a flat metal cable from a white lacquered metal ceiling frame.
