Tobi-Ishi Outdoor Small Table is a lounge table for outdoor use designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for B&B Italia in 2017. The outdoor version of the Tobi-Ishi Small Table is made entirely of cement and is available in two colors, green, and anthracite. The designers are very much in tune with Japanese culture and art, which can be seen in the design, which is clearly Zen-inspired. The name and the concept behind the table are inspired by the round stones placed at ornaments in Japanese centuries, where the stones are called tobi-ishi. The Tobi-Ishi Outdoor Small Table is as much sculpture as wood with its curved table top and vertical trapezoidal base that seems to change shape depending on where the viewer is standing.
If the products are placed outdoors and not used for a brief period, we recommend protecting them with their specially designed waterproof protective coating to prevent damage. Protective covers are sold separately.
