Mini Papilio was developed by designer Naoto Fukasawa for Italian B&B Italia in 2012. The armchair has an eye-catching, sculptural design, making it both decorative and functional. The frame is made of tubular steel padded with flexible, cold-pressed Bayfit foam and polyester. The upholstery can be ordered in fabric or leather in a choice of colors. Mini Papilio stands on a rotatable base in painted aluminum.
Mini Papilio is an update of the larger Grande Papilio version. Papilio means ?butterfly? and it is the shape of a butterfly's wings the inspiration behind the curved design. This smaller version allows for new uses and is equally at home in dining rooms, living rooms and lounges.
