The dainty Do-Maru armchair was designed in 2016 by design duo Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien and is produced by Italian B&B Italia. The back is made of polyurethane and the upholstery is available in leather or fabric and can be ordered in a variety of colors.
The name Do-Maru comes from ancient armor made of thin painted leather, worn by samurai in battle. Inspired by the armor, the design duo made an armchair where the thin leather of the seat is padded with polyurethane foam for maximum comfort. This, combined with the tapered back, makes the armchair stand out in both looks and comfort.
