The NE60 stool is a smaller version of the retro-filled E60 stool created by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. Stool E60 is the original stool sketched in 1933 by Alvar Aalto. The E60 stool came to represent the primordial concept of functional furniture design with its simple form and clean lines. The idea behind the iconic stools centers on four long legs assembled with a round seat. The secret lies in the unique curvature of the legs, which later became a distinctive feature of all Alvar Aalto's furniture.
