The Bonsai Sofa Wooden Base was created by the Swedish design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune for Arflex in 2016. The inspiration behind the design comes from Japanese esthetics and culture. The soft, asymmetrical shapes recall the cloud-like, wavy-trimmed bushes found in Japanese wooden gardens.
A base with straight wooden shapes breaks off and creates a stylish and unique appearance. The long base serves as a practical side table, perfect for storing decorative furnishings.
