The successful Stockholm-based architectural duo Tham & Videgård are behind the sophisticated Alma pendant lamp, named after a co-working space on Nybrogatan in Stockholm of the same name. This was the starting point for the lamp, which is now produced by Helsingborg-based Wästberg. Alma w171 has a diameter of 69 cm and has a circular shape with its significant wave-like pattern, where Tham & Videgård took inspiration from the sine wave. This creates an interesting shading, where the light source is reflected against the waves.
Alma w171 is available in matte white or matte gray and is also available as a ceiling lamp and wall lamp. It is made of aluminum and comes with a light source with an E27 base, a ceiling cup and a 3 meter long cable with matching color to the lampshade. Alma w171 is also dimmable for the desired light effect. It works equally well over the dining table or in the office and adds a subtle sense of softness, with the warm white light reflecting against the waves.
