The Eames House Whale is a beautiful wooden decoration, designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra. This hand-painted object is a replica of a whale that the Eames themselves had in their home. The Eames House Whale is 70 cm long, which makes it a stately interior detail. The original comes from North American folk art and the couple were very fond of this ornament which had a permanent place in their office. The couple used whales extensively in various photo shoots, including in the first image of the Eames Lounge Chair.
