The lamp consists of metal lamellae which together form a spherical shape, similar to a fan. Panton's characteristic use of soft, round shapes combined with harder, more austere materials is evident in this design. The Moon Pendant is not only a light source but also an artistic expression, typical of Panton's work, both in furniture and lighting.
