The Nerd Chair is a chair by Danish brand Muuto and was designed by David Geckeler in 2012. The chair has a backrest and seat made of molded veneer while the legs are made of solid wood. The Nerd Chair comes in a choice of several different finishes. We offer variants of the Nerd Chair in oak lacquered in a transparent protective lacquer, or in white lacquered ash in several different colors. Nerd's designer David Geckeler wanted to create a chair that combined the backrest and seat in an innovative way. The result was the Nerd Chair, which has character and a unique look while remaining associated with classic Scandinavian design and styling. The Muuto brand was founded in 2006 by Kristin Byrge and Peter Bonnen. Working with emerging designers, Muuto creates numerous high-profile collaborations by playing with new ideas, techniques and materials.
