Flos for NO GA

In close collaboration with Flos, NO GA launch an exclusive edition of their Snoopy lamp, designed in the 1960s by the Castiglione brothers. To celebrate the occasion, we took the lamp on a city tour of Stockholm.

“I see around me a professional disease of taking everything too seriously. One of my secrets is to joke all the time,” designer Achille Castiglioni once said. In 1967, he designed the Snoopy Table Lamp with his brother Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, famously inspired by the cartoon character with the same name.

Coming from a family of great designers, the Castiglioni brothers were well known for their unrivalled sense of humour. Sons of the prominent Milanese sculptor Giannino Castiglioni, this dynamic duo were part of a generation of Italian designers who lived to challenge convention.

Almost 50 years later, the lamp has become an icon of modern homes interiors—and with its characteristic features, with a cylindrical marble base and an enamelled metal lampshade, it has almost turned into a cartoon in itself.

NO GA launch three tables by legendary modernist Paul T. Frankl

Paul T. Frankl (1886–1958) designed a series of sofa tables for the Michigan-based Johnson Furniture Company in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The low, biomorphic-shaped tables were sold as  “cocktail tables,” a modernized version of the conventional coffee table. Now three of them - Amoeba, Big foot and Plectrum - are being launched by NO GA in close collaboration with the Paul T. Frankl Estate.
