The Bertoia Diamond Chair from Knoll was designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952. In 2015, the chair was launched in a special edition, specially created to commemorate Bertoia's 100th birthday. The seat is made of welded steel bars that form a grid and is supported by a base with steel links. The surface has been plated with 18-carat gold and coated with a clear lacquer for extra durability. A seat cushion in a choice of colors is available as an option.

Bertoia was best known as a sculptor and designed only one collection of furniture. Although he did not work primarily as an interior designer, his furniture was highly regarded and is sold around the world today.
